The New York City Ballets presentation of gip Stories, quaternion narrative ballets focusing on love, exhibited a comely break off of both mood and music. It was quite develop that the show was meant to belong to the ballerina. However, though Whelan certainly looked like the superstar of the show, her performance was completely lackluster. Her movements were stiff and forced. Each step seemed in all unconnected to the one before it. The beauty of the choreography was nigh completely lost. Her performance was saved only by the brilliant series of smooth, quick turns she did during her solo midway finished the performance.
